Where can I go after this course?
Open Channel offers other courses to help you write your first draft (Concept to Script), or to develop a first draft for the marketplace (Feature Film & TV Series Development Program). We also run events such as Short and Sharp pitching competition and the Raw Nerve production initiative.

Tutors

ROBERT GREENBERG
Robert is an award-winning Screenwriter and Script Editor. He has written and script edited hundreds of hours of television including episodes of Round the Twist (for which he won an AWGIE and three AFI-awards). He has also served as a Script Development Manager at Film Victoria, as well as a feature film and TV series script assessor and has been a judge for the Emmy Awards. Robert's students include Cannes Film Festival award winners and screenwriters who have worked on Underbelly and the BBC.

PAUL HORAN
Paul has worked as a series producer and script editor for 20 years in New Zealand and Australia on production such as the 7PM project and Rove.

TIM FERGUSON
Australia's internationally acclaimed 'comedy doctor', Tim Ferguson is a comedian, producer and screenwriter. He toured internationally with comedy trio the Doug Anthony Allstars (DAAS) and is Australia's foremost narrative comedy teacher. He has written for dozens of comedy and entertainment TV series in Australia and Britain. Recently, Tim wrote The Cheeky Monkey – Writing Narrative Comedy (Currency Press).

JAMES HEWISON
James Hewison is former long-term executive director of the Melbourne International Film Festival, and former Head of Theatrical Distribution of prominent independent distributor Madman Entertainment.
