This professional course is designed to provide you with the skills to forge a career as a 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Assistant Director.

You will learn how to:

  • Schedule a film and keep it on track using EP Scheduling
  • Maintain lines of communication
  • Prepare call sheets
  • Monitor the arrival of cast and crew
  • Monitor on-set safety
  • Rehearse additional cast and direct extras
  • Build a career as an AD

Who should do this course?
Anyone wanting to enter the Assistant Directors department as a freelancer. Directors wanting a better understanding of how to work within the practical constraints of production.

Where can I go after this course?
Graduates can apply for work in the AD department on a professional shoot as an Assistant, or may continue shooting independent productions in an Assistant Directing role to further develop skills.
