RTO Consultancy & Auspicing
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Open Channel auspices courses on its Scope of Registration.
Currently Open Channel is registered to deliver the CUF30107 Certificate III in Media and the CUF60107 Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media. Both are nationally recognised accredited courses and are made up of selected Units of Competency from the National Training Package, regulated by the Office of Tertiary Training and Education (OTTE) and Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST).
Open Channel can provide tailored programs in accredited training for your needs.
Open Channel has successfully auspiced its Certificate III in Media to Box Hill Senior Secondary College since 2005. The Certificate III runs as part of the VCE/VET program over Year 11 and 12 allowing students to complete their VCE as well as the Certificate III in Screen. Open Channel developed a Learning and Assessment Program to match the needs of Box Hill Senior Secondary College and provides ongoing delivery support.
Shorter programs can be developed and auspiced utilising units from the Certificate III in Media or Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media.
For example in 2005 Open Channel developed a short program for the Koori Heritage Trust delivering three units from the Certificate III in Screen. Open Channel provided Assessment Tools and delivery support so that Koori students received a Statement of Attainment for units they completed.
In 2009 Open Channel is delivering a full Indigenous Certificate III in Media qualification in conjunction with City of Port Phillip & Blue SKYS Media, documenting the Yalukit Wilam Ngargee Arts Festival for NITV.
