The 2012 Melbourne Short and Sharp winners announced!

Melbourne's live pitching event was held Tuesday 16th October (6.30pm-8:15pm) at Cinema Nova, in front of a fantastic industry panel.
Judges included Alan Finney (Chair Australian Film Institute), Charlie Carman (Manager Script Development, Film Victoria), David Redman (Highly acclaimed award-winning Producer, credits include Strange Bedfellows, Charlie and Boots).
For the 2012 Melbourne Short and Sharp pitching contest, judges decided on the winner from the 5 finalists, being Shepparton Short and Sharp winner David Frizzell with his adaptation of Changi Brownlow. David will have a terrific opportunity to develop his project through one-to-one meetings with leading production company, $2,000 worth of equipment hire including the Sony PMW F3 camera

Martine Broderick - Project; The Music Box
Both David and Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media (Feature Film and TV Series Development) student Jane Hampson were offered an opportunity to pitch at the Short and Sharp Pro competition (in house), with Jane taking out top prize to travel to Sydney to compete in the National Pitching Competition as part of SPAA Fringe at Cockatoo Island, 22nd October.
