Steve-MitchellSteve Mitchell turned his back on a highly paid IT career to become a highly paid writer. This is taking a little longer than he expected…

He’s an emerging comedy writer who writes for film and TV. He studied filmmaking at VCA and Professional Screenwriting at RMIT. His feature screenplay ‘The Non-Believers’ was nominated for an AWGIE award and he wrote and directed ‘The Unusual Suspects’, which screened at 2012’s Tropfest Film Festival.

Since then he has been busy producing an indie feature he wrote, called ‘The Heckler’ (directed by Ben Plazzer), which won the “Best Ensemble” award at the LA Comedy Festival in November.

Steve sometimes performs stand-up comedy to prevent his self-esteem from reaching acceptable levels.
