SHORT & SHARP METRO

The Melbourne Metro finals of the Short & Sharp Pitching Competition were held at the Kino Cinemas on Sunday, 28th September.

The two winners of the Shepparton and Warrnambool finals in addition to 4 Melbourne Metro finalists pitched their ideas to judges Mike Cowap (Investment Manager, Screen Australia), Clea Frost (Script Development Manager, Film Victoria) and Leanne Tonkes (Producer, My Mistress).

Congratulations to winner Emma Watts for her pitch “Triple D”, and also to winner of the Audience Choice Award Carol Cummings with her pitch, “Happy Valley”.

Emma will now go on to pitch “Triple D” at the National Pitching Competition at the SPA Screen Forever Conference in November.

SHORT & SHARP WARRNAMBOOL

Held at the Warrnambool Art Gallery on Thursday 7th August 2014, 5 finalists pitched their ideas for a screen based projects to judges Chris Thompson (screenwriter, The Tumbler) and Marc Gracie (Open Channel).

Well done to Rachael Butterworth, winner of the Warrnambool finals with her pitch for “Fat Chance”.

Well done to Steven Boltz, winner of the Shepparton finals with his pitch for “Swear Jar”.
