Jason is an independent producer with numerous credits to his name. Jason’s experience has seen him to work in parts of the industry as diverse as puppetry and animation in the United States to producing high-end television commercials, experiential media, corporate communication, documentary and feature film. After studying Commerce and graduating with honours at Monash University, Jason journeyed to San Francisco to complete a Masters in Applied Finance at Berkley University. It was as a student in the US that ambitions to work in finance were put aside and a deeper desire to embark on a journey as a filmmaker began.
Since then he has joined forces with award winning Director and Actress Rachel Griffiths to co-produced the Short Film ‘Roundabout’. Roundabout won Best Australian Short Film at the Melbourne Film Festival, Australian Film Critics Circle Awards and screened at the Dendy Awards, LA, Palm Springs, and Telluride Film Festivals in North America. Other Short Films of note include ‘’Booth Story with Edwin McGill, ‘I Luv U’ with Clayton Jacobson and ’Fish’ with Eron Sheehan. In 2003 Jason co-produced the feature film ‘One Perfect Day’ which received multiple nominations at the AFI and IF awards, winning best sound design. In 2005 the 50 Minute Tele Feature ‘The Heart Break Tour’, in 2006 the ABC Documentary ‘ Beyond the Backyard’ for the ABC and the Feature Film ‘Rats and Cats’ with director Tony Rogers. In 2007 Jason produced the Feature film ‘Little Deaths’ which premiered at Melbourne Film Festival 2008 and was released theatrically in 2010. Little Deaths won the SPARTEN Award at SPAA 2008 for best feature film. In 2008 Jason completed the Feature Length Documentary ‘Shadowplay’ for the ABC.
In July 2012 Jason joined forces with Rohan Timlock and launched the highly successful production company Guilty. Guilty, based out of Melbourne, has already produced a host of successful TV commercials. There is also a collection of longer form projects in development including the Feature Film Projects ‘Drone’ with Edwin McGill, ‘The Girls’ with Clayton Jacobson, ‘The Bones’ with Sandra Sciberras and ‘No Prisoners’ with Paul Middleditch. TV Projects in development include ‘Bruce’ and ‘FUNT’ with Tony Rogers and currently in production are the Documentaries ‘Flight of the Black Cockatoo’ about the life of AFL Legend Tom Wills and ‘Butterfly Song’ with International Music Icon David Bridie.
In 2014 Jason completed the ABC Web Series ‘How to Talk Australians’ with Tony Rogers garnering over 3 Million You Tube Views and the Feature Film ‘Sucker’ with Ben Chessel and Robyn Kershaw.
