About The Program
Open Channel has a strong history of facilitating attachments for emerging and early career practitioners on professional productions. Attachments offer excellent opportunities to demonstrate your capabilities and potential, and to form important professional networks.
Open Channel has been engaged to manage the Professional Attachment Program on behalf of Film Victoria and will work with production companies to source an appropriate attachee. Through the Professional Attachment Program attachees will receive on the job skills training, supported by a Supervisor and a Learning Plan.
The program is funded through Film Victoria’s Assigned Production Investment – Film and Television (API – Film and Television) whereby funded productions will allocate a small percentage of their Film Victoria investment in their budget to engage an attachee on the production.
Please read the below program guidelines carefully before submitting your application for an advertised position.
Attachment positions will become available throughout the year. Please sign up to our Attachments Program Mailing List through the form below to be informed of advertised positions as they become available. We would also recommend signing up to Open Channel’s free monthly e-newsletter, OpenLine.
