Equipment & Facilities Hire

We are currently in the process upgrading our hire equipment. At this stage, we cannot guarantee our full range of equipment is available for hire, however we do have a number of items suitable for use, and will do our utmost to assist with you equipment needs. A temporary hires listing will be available shortly. In the meantime, please contact our office early to check availability.

Open Channel members are entitled to a 20% discount on all equipment.  Find out how to become a member here.

Equipment is available for hire 24/7 (pick-up and return during office hours).
All hire of equipment is subject to a 100 point ID check.

Edit Suites

Open Channel also has 4 Apple Final Cut Pro video edit suites - Apple Intel iMac systems running Final Cut Studio software, including Final Cut Pro, Motion, DVD Studio Pro and Soundtrack Pro.

Each edit workstation includes a miniDV tape deck, speakers and a TV monitor screen. Betacam SP, DVC Pro 25 and DV Cam decks are also available for a small extra charge.

As trainers and practitioners of Final Cut Pro, we are completely familiar with this program and its features and can help troubleshoot any problems you may encounter with your project.

Dubbing Tape Sales

Make single or multiple copies of your own tapes and DVDs through Open Channel.

Open Channel can copy from Betacam SP, MiniDV, DVCam, DVCPro 25, and VHS. Prepare distribution copies of your work, or showreels for agencies, prospective employers in tape or DVD format.

DVDs can also be copied, as well as content prepared for the web in Mac and Windows format.
