FRAMED #03 – Telling & Selling Australian Stories for Screen
What constitutes an 'Australian' story especially in light of Screen Australia's new Producer Offset guidelines? Will the new push for commercially-viable projects comprise our independent voice? Alternatively, why aren't audiences engaging with the current slate of Australian films? What do audiences want? And where do genre films fit in to all of this?
All these questions and more will be discussed, dissected and hopefully clarified at our next FRAMED seminar!
Speakers include:
David Lightfoot, Producer, Wolf Creek / Artistic Director, Adelaide Short Film Festival
Alkinos Tsilimidos, Director, Em4Jay, Tom White
Jonathan Auf De Heide, Director, Van Diemen's Land
John Evagora, Writer/ Director, 296 SMITH ST
FRAMED #3 will be facilitated by Dr Deb Verhoeven, Associate Professor, Screen Studies, RMIT University.
