Matt Ditton is the Founder of Many Monkeys and a Director of the Mighty Games Group and he’s based out of Melbourne, Australia.
In his years in the games industry Matt has done nearly every role from Artist to Programmer to Producer to Studio Manager. And along the way convinced everyone he knew what he was doing. He’s a programmer who is happiest making procedural art and a studio head happiest working with the team and keeping everyone paid.
Matt started at Krome Studios in 2000 before moving to Pandemic Studios in 2005. After the GFC Matt went independent and made games and procedural art for SBS and ABC before heading up the Bachelor of Games Design at the Griffith Film School. In 2011 Matt moved to Melbourne to founded Many Monkeys Development. Monkeys makes interactive installations and games. They received funding from the Screen Australia Interactive Game Fund and the results Breath of Light are currently in the AppStore.
In 2012 Matt partnered with Ben Britten to found a Free-to-Play company called the Mighty Games Group. Mighty expanded to include Matt Hall and Andy Sum in 2014 and 2015. We’ve made huge fans with Shooty Skies and Disney Crossy Road and we’re preparing to launch our next game Charming Keep in the next couple of months.
