Daniel-ScharfDaniel Scharf is Managing Director of Profile Creative, representing actors, writers and directors.

Daniel brings to Profile Creative over 30 years experience as one of Australia’s most acclaimed and respected producers. He has produced feature films, documentaries and children’s television.

Daniel’s credits include feature films “Romper Stomper” starring Russell Crowe and Jacqueline McKenzie; “Metal Skin” starring Aden Young, Ben Mendelsohn and Nadine Garner; “The Prisoner of St Petersburg” starring Noah Taylor; “Isabelle Eberhardt” starring Mathilda May, Tcheky Karyo and Peter O’Toole; and “Tom White” starring Colin Friels.

Daniel also co-produced the popular children’s television series, “Cybergirl“, “Pirate Islands“, “Wicked Science” and “Scooter: Secret Agent” for Jonathan M. Shiff.

Daniel has served on the boards of Film Victoria, Cinemedia and the Melbourne International Film Festival. He has been a feature film councillor of the Screen Producers Association of Australia. Daniel was a Co Producer with Antony I. Ginnane on the low budget DigiSPAA initiative with Showtime Movie Networks, which provided finishing funds and broadcast exhibition for micro and low budget features.

On many occasions Daniel has been a guest lecturer at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, the Victorian College of The Arts – Film and Television School, RMIT and Deakin University.

In May 2003 Daniel received a Centenary Medal for Service to Australian Society and Australian Film Production. In 2015, Daniel joined the micro budget feature Chocolate Strawberry Vanilla as Executive Producer.
