In film, sound can be 80% of the impact of your film. In this course you will learn the basics of screen location recording for film and television.
Learn how to:
- understand the theory of sound recording and design, utilize boom mics, directional mics, camera mics and lapel mics to record quality sound under all sorts of diverse and often difficult, environmental conditions
- work with the crew in a collaborative way to ensure the best sound possible

Suitable for beginner filmmakers looking for an an overview of sound principles and and basic recording techniques. Also suited to anyone wanting to commence a career in the professional screen sound arena as a Sound Assistant/Technician, Boom Operator or Sound Recordist.
