Show reels have been submitted and are almost ready to screen! This is a great opportunity for independent filmmakers to gain constructive feedback and advice from industry professionals, their peers and the public. Featuring the show reels of Jonathan Macpherson (writer/producer/director), David Rusanow (DOP) and Katherine Phelps (writer/director), this free event will be a very valuable learning experience.

Following the announcement last week of Channel 31's digital broadcast license which will see its audience reach expanding greatly, Open Channel is co-delivering this fast-paced course which takes you through all the roles required to work in a television studio to put a live show taping together, and then gets you to work as a crew to record a number of episodes. Delivered on site at Melbourne's Channel 31 studios by experienced television technician Paul Dolence (Deal or No Deal, Blue Heelers, Australian Open, AFL), this 6-day course will open the doors to work in community television or with other broadcasters.
